OCTOBER EVENT
Oct 25 - 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday @ the Gibsons
Community Centre
We are having a workshop regarding the NEW Registered
Disability Savings Plan RSDP - for people with
developmental disabilities. The Federal Government has
approved the new savings plan and there are considerable
matching grants that are possible once you are registered.
The provincial government has also approved the plan and it
will take effect in December.
Chris Reid of Acuma Financial Group has agreed to put on a
seminar for Gibsons Family Network on Saturday October 25

Family Support Institute.

This is the current date for the Recreation Centre to open. The kiosk
has been ordered from Apollo Carts in Surrey and will be delivered to
the new centre. Further updates as we hear from the SCRD!
March 12 – Seaside Centre Sechelt 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Integrated Community Access Network and I Can Society are
sponsoring a presentation and meeting on ``Access to
Recreation`` – improving access to recreation
for people who are of low income, physically or mentally
challenged or victims of discrimination.

Every Friday
- Family Curling in January
Beginning Jan 11, 2008, every Friday night
@ 7:00pm, a fun, family curling session is beginning. WE encourage
everyone to come and try curling and see if it is something you, your
family or friends might like to do. Hope to see you at the curling rink.
Wear a warm jacket, hat and gloves. You can borrow equipment at the
curling club. Give it a try! GFN will cover the cost for this fun night
out.
